Being an environmental manager is both an interesting and challenging position.  The position requires many different talents and allows for interaction with a wide variety of professions and people.  However, the position also comes with its share of challenges.  We all know about the pressure of pulling together data for an EPCRA report at the 11th hour or having a surprise audit by a regulatory agency.

Many organizations have excellent support groups for personnel.  However, the support received by environmental managers can be limited.  Further, because of the general "newness" of the profession, very limited mentoring is often available.  As a result, KTA has developed an Environmental Management Support Group.

This support group consists of scheduled presentations by trained professionals, once every two months.  Participation in the presentation is achieved through attending a chat room on www.msn.com  Personnel participating will have the opportunity to participate anonymously or through asking questions following a moderated presentation.  The presentations will not involve marketing in any way and will be free of charge.  

The chat room may be accessed (within 30 minutes of the scheduled presentation) by going to www.msn.com and clicking on "People and Chat." From there click on "Chat Home."  From there click on "Join a Chat." From there type in "KTA Associates, Inc." in the Chat Room Name box and click on "Join."  You will be required to register (at no cost) prior to entering the MSN Chat area.  This will take approximately 15 minutes.  If you have any questions regarding this step, please contact KTA.
